The Church of Scientology is in Civic, which is very handy to all of Canberra. It makes it easy to find coming in from Melbourne or Sydney. Civic is the term used by the original planners that won the competition to then plan Canberra. That was architect, Walter Burley Griffin. He named the central business district Civic. The name stuck and locals have used it since.

Getting there is easy. The buses all converge on the bus interchange outside the front door, or sixty meters away, the most central part of the city.
The tram line has its terminus a hundred meters away on Northborne Avenue, and the paid parking lots are only a few minutes walk away as well. Of course, like anywhere, it is easiest when you already have been there.
If you come through or from other major terminus centers (such as Belconnen, or Woden, for example) the public transport is a simple and a very eco-friendly way to travel. And if you are travelling in the winter, all the buses and trams are very warm. The drivers are also very freindly.

You can also buy a book if you would like. The book on Scientology to explain more. There are many introductory books to choose from. One I recommend is Problems of Work: Scientology in the Workaday World. It explains a lot and gives many basic lessons. You can of course do a short course with it. You can also just read about the books and the courses on this blog site too.

The Mapsus.net address for the Church of Scientology of Brisbane and its location is shown here. Good for driving and when you get there by foot after getting off the train. There are other map services out there but this one works fine. Vehicle parking is at the Brisbane City Council’s underground King George Square Car Park. That is between Ann and Adelaide Streets. The parking opens at 5:30 am and closes at 11 pm. It’s open seven days a week. Vehicle entry is via Roma or Adelaide Streets and the exit is on Roma Street.
